The Yellow Creek Trading Company building has been a hub of Peninsula activity since it was built in the mid-1800's.

It has served as a blacksmith shop, a general store, and a post office. Many original fixtures and characteristics remain.

Owners Libby Upton and Lynne Dowling have extensive experience in art and historical preservation as well as over a decade of decorating and retail experience.

They have filled over 5,000 square feet with a unique selection of merchandise for the home and garden, including one-of-a-kind productions of local artists and craftsmen, and their 2nd Glance department, featuring cottage style antiques and vintage pieces in the original stone-walled cellar of the historic general store building. 2nd Glance will provide ideas to economically decorate interiors using refreshed and repurposed objects from the past..
